Welcome to our family mission group website. We are a LARGE family that has been volunteering with churches and organizations since 1978. We are a family of skilled laborers and many have spent their entire careers in the construction trades industry.
Listed below are just a few of the skills that we bring to our projects…
The Reynolds family is originally from the small community of Elwood, TX. Milton and Annie Reynolds had 14 children - 8 girls and 6 boys and they raised their family in a Christian household and taught the children the importance of giving back. The males in the family all went into the building trades in their adulthood. Four of the brothers decided in the 1970's that they were being called to donate their building trades experience to churches that needed help with construction projects. Since this decision the family (men, women and children) has spent one week every summer and several weekends throughout the year assisting churches with their construction projects.
Please reach us at rturner@reynoldsfmg.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
We do not provide the materials, just labor. We do bring many of our own tools, but if your project needs something special (heavy equipment, larger power tools) then you will need to have those available for use.
Our group is usually between 45 and 65 people. This number includes all members of the families (even children).
We bring a kitchen crew with us that prepares all of our meals. Often, a church will provide a dinner or lunch while we are there and that is always appreciated, but it is not expected. Our group funds the cost of our own meals.
We prefer to stay at the church/location we are working at if at all possible. We will usually use classrooms and each family is assigned a room. We also have people who travel with RV's/Travel Trailers and they will often park in the parking and plug into outside electricity. We don't expect to have sewer hookups for our RV's/Travel Trailers but it is always appreciated if they just happen to be there. We will also need to have access to showers. Many churches have a shower area already available so this isn't a problem. If the church doesn't have a shower area then a mobile shower station is often times rented by the church/organization for us to use.
If your church or Christian organization has a construction need we would love to hear from you. Please fill out the form and we will get in touch shortly.
